What is conveyancing?
Under the real estate law, conveyancing refers to all the legal administrative activities associated with the transfer of a real property’s title from one person to another. This may also include the granting of a lien or mortgage for the purchase of the property in question.

The conveyancing process occurs in three stages, namely before contract, before completion, and after completion. It usually starts after the buyer’s offer to buy the property has been accepted by the seller.
Who does the conveyancing?
Conveyancing is usually performed by professionals such as a solicitor or a licensed conveyance. Home buyers can also do the process on their own; however, it is best to leave the job to the experts since it can be a bit time-consuming and risky if one lacks the necessary expertise.
